2021 Volkswagen Tiguan

The 2021 Tiguan combines Volkswagen's hallmark fun-to-drive character with a sophisticated and spacious interior, flexible seating, and high-tech infotainment and available driver-assistance features.

The 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan is available in five trims -- S, SE, SE R-Line Black, SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line. Both Tiguan S and SE models welcome new 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheel designs. SE models feature new driver-assistance features and upgraded infotainment with standard Adaptive Cruise Control, as well as the next-generation MIB3 infotainment system. The SEL Premium R-Line features a standard power passenger seat.

Tiguan combines style and capability with its wide, low stance, bold character lines and LED lighting. With its refined appearance and ability to cater to an active lifestyle, the Tiguan successfully bridges the gap between adventure and city living.

Roof rails are standard, allowing outdoors enthusiasts to upgrade the vehicle with accessories such as bike, kayak, and ski carriers. The available accessory towing hitch can be used to pull up to 1,500 pounds.

The versatility of seating in the Tiguan is what sets it apart from the competition. In front-wheel-drive Tiguan models, three rows of seating are standard, including a second-row bench that can recline, slide 7 inches fore and aft, fold down, and be split 40/20/40.

The interior features modern, high-quality design with a sporty, driver-focused layout, using gloss-grey and chrome details. Standard features include a multi-function steering wheel and cloth seats with a rhombus pattern that offers a premium look.

The 2021 Tiguan is powered by a four-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower. Maximum torque of 221 lb-ft is available from 1,600 rpm. All Tiguan trims are equipped with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. Tiguan can be equipped with the 4Motion with Active Control all-wheel-drive system.
